Can you dig it?

Friends of mine are looking for some construction vehicle artwork for their son's room, but when I saw what they were looking to buy, I said to myself, "I can do better than that, ...right?"  So this is what I'm working on. Being inspired by , specifically by this example , I wanted a similar feel and tone. Never really having done vehicles before, let alone a construction ones, I think I'm hitting close to the mark of what I wanted.

This is the base drawing. I'll get the colors of the room, and create a background.  My plan is to make a small paper sculpture, so we'll see how that works.
